Privacy Policy for LEX

1. Information We Collect

• Account data: email address and the sign-in identifier from Apple or Google.
• Profile data: name, age range, and gender.
• Wellness and lifestyle data you choose to provide: onboarding answers about sleep, stress, movement, goals, food and hydration habits, daily routine and movement limits, plus your notes and schedule entries.
• Meal photos you choose to submit for nutrition analysis.
• Subscription data: purchase and entitlement status. Payments are processed by Apple; we never receive or store your payment card details.
• Technical and usage data: an app-generated device identifier, app language, request counts, entitlement status, timestamps, error details, and limited service logs used for security, quota enforcement, and reliability.
• AI request data: prompts, generated responses, optional meal photos, and the relevant profile context sent with a request. Conversation history and planning data may also be stored locally on your device.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to: provide the App and generate personalized AI responses; enforce the daily request limit and manage subscriptions; maintain security and prevent abuse; respond to support requests; and improve the service.

3. AI Processing and Third-Party Services

Before the first AI request, the App asks for your explicit consent. You may decline and continue using non-AI parts of the App. To generate a response, the prompt text or optional meal photo you submit and relevant profile context (such as goals, habits, preferences, and constraints) are sent to our AI providers solely to process your request. Do not include information that directly identifies you in an AI prompt.

• Supabase — authentication, server functions, quota records, and account data storage;
• OpenAI and Anthropic — processing AI requests and optional images;
• RevenueCat — subscription entitlement management;
• Apple and Google — sign-in services; Apple also processes App Store purchases.

We do not sell your personal data, and we do not use it for cross-app advertising tracking.

4. Wellness and Lifestyle Boundaries

LEX is a general wellness, health & fitness and lifestyle tool. It does not assess symptoms, laboratory results, medical conditions or disease risk and does not provide diagnosis, treatment, therapy or emergency care. AI responses may be inaccurate. For individual medical concerns, contact a qualified professional; in an emergency, contact local emergency services.

5. Data Retention and Security

Account data stored by us is retained while your account is active. Deleting your account initiates deletion of associated account data. Limited security logs, provider records, and encrypted backups may remain only for the period reasonably necessary for security, dispute resolution, legal obligations, or backup rotation. Data stored locally on your device can be removed through account deletion or by uninstalling the App. Data is transmitted using encryption (TLS).

6. Your Rights and Choices

• You can delete your account and all associated data directly in the App (Settings → Delete Account).
• You can request access to, correction of, or deletion of your data by emailing team@lex.fit.
• Depending on your location, you may have rights under the GDPR (EU/UK) or CCPA/CPRA (California), including access, correction, deletion, portability, and objection to processing. We will honor valid requests as required by law.

7. International Transfers

Your data may be processed in countries other than your own, including where our service providers operate. We rely on appropriate safeguards for such transfers where required by law.

8. Children's Privacy

The App is not intended for individuals under 16. We do not knowingly collect data from children. If you believe a child has provided data, contact us and we will delete it.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Policy from time to time. The current version is always available on this page, with the "Last updated" date revised accordingly.
